A few years ago I awakened shortly after midnight with severe pain in the lower portion of my body. For some time I prayed, acknowledging God’s allness and man’s perfection as His likeness, but without relief. I finally felt I could not stand the discomfort much longer, and I silently cried out, “Dear God, why don’t I get any relief? I’ve been relying on Truth.”

Hace unos años me desperté poco después de la medianoche con dolor intenso en la parte inferior de mi cuerpo. Durante un rato oré, reconociendo la totalidad de Dios y la perfección del hombre como Su semejanza, pero sin alivio. Finalmente sentí que no podía soportar el malestar mucho más tiempo, y grité en silencio, “Dios mío, ¿por qué no me alivio? He estado confiando en la Verdad”.
