Join us for a monthly in-depth study of the Bible in a friendly small group setting. You’ll find us meeting at Seventh Church Houston in our lovely Sunday School on the first Thursday of each month. Everyone is welcome to attend!
A different topic is explored by the group each month, focusing on finding meaning and direction using the Bible as our guide.
Your Houston Visiting Christian Science Nurse Service is participating in an international outreach event sponsored by the Association of Organizations of Christian Science Nursing (AOCSN).
This event will encapsulate the tender, practical care provided by vising Christian Science nurses, as well as encourage those drawn to learn how to pursue a career as a Christian Science nurse.
This program will be presented in English and Spanish, concurrently.
We look forward to welcoming you in the Sunday School room of Eighth Church of Christ, Scientist, Houston. A light lunch will also be provided.

Dear Friends across Texas,
The members of the Board of the State Institutional Committee are looking forward to meeting with everyone Saturday, October 6th at 8th Church of Christ, Scientist, Houston at 1 p.m. We are excited to have local volunteer chaplain George Nutwell as our guest speaker. His talk is titled, “Sowing the Seeds of Truth in Jail.”

In addition to the reports from the Executive Secretary and Board Zone Representatives, volunteers from all over the state will be sharing their experiences.
We hope you can join the Board and all of the Institutional Committee volunteer chaplains coming together to share the gratitude for the wonderful work going on through the application and demonstration of Christian Science in the institutions around the state.

The Principle Foundation’s Houston Local Committee has scheduled a talk by Dr. Brad Stock, to be given at The Branch School on October 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM, titled “Illumined Scriptures: Mary Baker Eddy and The Bible.” Its theme, from Mrs. Eddy’s Message to The Mother Church for 1902, is: “Our thoughts of the Bible utter our lives” (p. 4).
Dr. Stock’s knowledge of Mrs. Eddy and the history of the Christian Science movement is extensive. He is presently teaching these subjects at Principia College.

Everyone is invited to attend the Annual Meeting of Christian Science Institutional Work in Texas via Zoom.
The guest speaker will be Volunteer Chaplain Bobby Radke who will speak about bringing a unique perspective from both sides of the fence.
There will be sharing of reports and fruitage from Zone representatives and Volunteer Chaplains.
