The Christian Science Sentinel online posted an article this week by Charles Lindahl titled, Let God in:
Do you feel close to God? Whatever level of connection we feel, we would probably like to find a greater sense of nearness—to more consistently know His presence, hear His response to our prayers, and rest in His comfort. How can we experience God in our lives more dependably and tangibly?
The Bible says, “The Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9, New Living Translation). Accepting and embracing this powerful promise inspires and encourages us. It may seem too good to be true to expect God to be present in a way that is practical and applicable to our circumstances. But as Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, wrote to a student: “All things are prepared for us by the Father. Our part is to prepare ourselves to receive them” (Mary Baker Eddy to Sue Ella Bradshaw, February 24, 1890; L04643, The Mary Baker Eddy Library; © The Mary Baker Eddy Collection).
