While searching Facebook today, I found an online lecture Tuesday May 14 at 7:00PM BST (1:00AM CST) titled, Prayer and Well-Being: A Spiritual Adventure. Though this falls in the middle of the night for us, First London Church does record their lectures and posts them on their website. See the link below for more information:

Are prayer and healing for you? I mean, if you have no experience with spirituality or religion, or you’re not even sure what you think about God, can you still pray and be healed? Yes. Because prayer and healing are natural to us, and I say this as one who didn’t even grow up in a religious household. But what I’ve discovered as I’ve studied Christian Science is that a willingness to shift perspectives, to see things in a new, more spiritual way, has an effect–for anyone.

Nate is a Christian Science practitioner and member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. After producing a documentary on miracles and traveling the world, Nate went to Boston to work for The Mother Church, serving in many capacities, including launching and producing the Daily Lift podcast. His many hobbies include adventuring in the outdoors, writing songs and cooking.

Lecture – Never too late to Experience Freedom

This Sunday May 1st at 2:00PM First Church of Christ Scientist, Richardson will be hosting a lecture by Patricia Woodard, CS titled, Never too late to Experience Freedom:

Patty discovered Christian Science as an adolescent and soon thereafter experienced the complete healing of a broken arm through Christian Science treatment. She’s lived in six states in the U.S. and twice in São Paulo, Brazil, where she became fluent in Portuguese. Each new culture and environment taught her more about God, universal Love, and how God’s goodness is reflected by all people. These new views have opened up wonderful opportunities to interact with people from a wide variety of cultural and economic backgrounds, faiths, and age groups.

Underlying all her experiences is the desire to bring healing to mankind, to show each individual their God-given freedom, their real heritage, their right to happiness and health, and their inherent ability to feel God’s love. Patty now resides in Dallas, Texas, where she practices Christian Science healing and is active in prison ministry.

Mark McCurties, CS discusses how learning to follow the example of Christ Jesus can empower each one of us to heal, and overcome the hard problems that we face.

We will explore what true humility is, how it links us to God, and how it connects us with God’s healing and saving laws. There is great need for healing in the world today, and Christ-like humility can help us to meet that demand.

Mark is a healing practitioner of Christian Science who lives in
Ann Arbor, MI. He is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship in Boston, MA.
